Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management:
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions recorded in the general ledger.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting requirements.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on overdue payments.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development of financial models and projections.
Compliance and Audit Support:
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during financial audits.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Implement best practices to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
