Warehouse Shipping Receiving Clerk

Manufacturing company located in Deer Park, TX is seeking a shipping/receiving clerk. Pay range DOE 

Job Description

Position Purpose: Receive and store raw material, purchased parts, casting and operation supplies. Perform a variety of visual and mechanical inspection operations primarily on raw material, vendor processed parts and components, buyouts and customer supplied products (CSP), in accordance with Quality Control practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble orders and prepare goods for shipment.
• Receive material from Shippers.
• Work from Shipper BOL’s and vendor packing lists, purchase orders and instructions to coordinate the receiving operations.
• Perform computer transactions, including input of material receipts, cycle counts, stock adjustments, location of parts and inventory adjustments as necessary.
• Unload, uncrate, or unpack materials and transport them to designated inventory location using lift truck or by hand as appropriate.
• Use shipping records to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders. Count and visually inspect materials received.
• Compare packing slips with receiver copy of purchase order and note all discrepancies on the packing slip and BOL and have truck driver acknowledge the discrepancy as required.
• Participate in taking cycle counts and physical inventories as required.
• Match paperwork, purchase orders, specifications, certificates of analysis, and approve and sign-off as required.
• Control and maintain MSDS sheets and logs for department managers and distribute MSDS updates to all departments as necessary.
• Ensure material traceability via heat lot numbers when applicable.
• Perform visual inspection Observe all safety, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills:

• Experience in Quality Assurance and Receiving techniques, with the ability to read, understand and interpret material drawings and specifications.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Forklift Certified.
• Computer Literate and computer experience. sexual orientation, gender identity or any other legally protected category.

Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
(Available pay rate range determined by level of specific experience)
