EMPIRE CO. JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE : Architect __________________________________________________________________________ Empire Co is seeking a motivated Architect to join our team. The right candidate has a passion for creating spaces for people to live and work, an eye for detail, and has a passion for turning innovative ideas into reality. As a team member, you’ll collaborate with our internal design and construction team to craft communities that offer an enhanced living experience. Design aspects primarily include multifamily and light commercial. PRIMARY DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: Generate design concepts and sketches. Incorporate innovative design solutions while adhering to local building codes and regulations. Program and design buildings where people live and work. Prepare comprehensive construction drawings, specifications and documents for bidding and permitting purposes. Ensure accuracy, clarity and compliance with building codes and zoning regulations. Refine conceptual designs into detailed architectural plans, including floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings. Research and select appropriate materials, finishes, and fixtures to enhance aesthetic appeal and functionality of our projects. Consider factors such as durability, sustainability and cost- effectiveness. Attend and conduct weekly team meetings Work in construction management software to maintain proper documentation of design selections and building plans. Foster and maintain a collaborative, professional working relationship with our project coordinators, team members and other involved consultants. EDUCATION AND OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelors or Masters degree in related field and 3 or more years of architectural experience. Registered Architect in the State of South Dakota Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Lumion and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong architectural knowledge. Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
