Responsibilities:

  • Experience in producing design development and construction documents with limited guidance, applying architectural techniques, best practices, and procedures requiring independent judgment
  • Responsible for coordination of design group interaction both internally and externally (e.g. consultants’ coordination), including scheduling and assisting with consultant teamwork sessions
  • Actively manage and distribute project work of the architectural team as applicable
  • Perform design calculations and document preparation, including maintaining the information flow to the project team to reflect the design intent in the construction documents, along with coordinating with consultants to confirm that systems work
  • Assist with review, modification and coordination of construction documents prior to issue, including confirmation that code and zoning requirements of the project are met
  • Execute deliverables according to scope of services and BC Architects’ standards, best practices, and quality expectations
  • Attend and actively participate in client and consultant coordination meetings
  • Actively participate in team meetings to discuss project issues, technical issues, and coordination with other disciplines
  • Produce three-dimensional building information models and two-dimensional construction documents using primarily the Revit program
  • Understand the importance of time management, schedules, and project deadlines; therefore, contributing to the firm’s profitability goals
  • Recognize the importance of growing and maintaining client and consultant relationships
  • Coordinate with and work directly under the Director of Projects and Principal in Charge of Production

The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications and technical skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in producing construction documents
  • Experience in production of mid- and large-scale project including mixed-use, retail, and multi-family mid- and high-rise buildings in the United States
  • Knowledge of Florida Building, Fire, and Accessibility Codes, and ability to research and apply/incorporate into technical documents
  • Broad knowledge of architectural building systems
  • Proficiency in Revit, experience in BIM a plus
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD preferred
  • Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup and InDesign graphic software a plus
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on more than one project at the same time
  • Ability to anticipate job expectations and contribute to project and design solutions
  • Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise, and professional manner, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong English language skills
