Licensed Practical Nurse for Clinical Research Job Summary

Our clinic seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse for Clinical Research to oversee people who volunteer to partake in
clinical trials for new medical devices and drugs. In this role, its your responsibility to work with trial
subjects and ensure that the research is done according to the protocol and to ensure patient safety.
This includes making sure every aspect of the trial adheres to compliance, including GCP, IRB, and
FDA requirements and guidelines. You will be working with a research team to ensure the clinical
trial process goes according to plan.

Licensed Practical Nurse for Clinical Research Duties and Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate day-to-day clinical trial activities
• Work with research volunteers in the trial
• Oversee medication administration or device usage
• Conduct data collection and record reported results
• Provide guidance on compliance with various guidelines and communicate any concerns
• Interact with staff from the pharmaceutical companies conducting the trials

Licensed Practical Nurse for Clinical Research Requirements and Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - required
• Good clinical skills and a strong work ethic required
• Clinical trial research experience is not required
• Computer skills required with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Attention to detail very important
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary
