About Us:

We are an ambitious startup in the process of ideating and establishing a quick-service sushi restaurant in Los Angeles. Committed to delivering high-quality and innovative sushi to our future customers, we are currently initiating Phase 1 of our hiring process. In this phase, we are seeking an experienced Sushi Chef to exclusively focus on crafting our menu.

Responsibilities:

1. Menu Creation:
• Develop a diverse and appealing sushi menu that caters to a broad range of tastes and preferences.
• Integrate creative and modern elements while respecting traditional sushi techniques.
• Collaborate with management in the ideation phase to establish pricing and portion sizes for menu items.
2. Sourcing and Quality Control:
• Utilize established connections with fish dealers in the Los Angeles area to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality seafood.

Requirements:

1. Experience:
• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef with a strong background in menu creation.
• Minimum work experience is not a requirement, however, we imagine the ideal candidate with multiple years of experience in a sushi restaurant environment
2. Expertise:
• Extensive knowledge of various sushi types, cutting techniques, and presentation styles.
• Ability to create visually appealing dishes while maintaining efficient production.

After the menu is created, if the candidate is interested in joining the team in a full-time capacity, the requirements are below:

1. Kitchen Management:
• Contribute to the design and layout of the future kitchen space.
• Develop standard operating procedures for the sushi kitchen, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
• Train and mentor future kitchen staff in sushi preparation techniques and presentation.
