Job Description

Reports to: Recruiting Director

Company/Entity Name: CalArk International, Inc.

Job Type: Full-Time/Hourly (Non-Exempt)

Salary Range: $17-$23/hour (Based on experience)

Position Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Overtime as required.

Job Overview:

The Driver Recruiter’s primary function is to recruit high quality driver candidates via recruiting websites, rehires, employee referrals, recruiting events and other sources.

This is a 100% on-site (non-remote) position in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Essential Functions:

· Works with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and keep them up to date on the recruiting progress.

· Creates driver candidate offer letters based on details provided by the Area Managers and communicates with them when the letter is signed.

· Ensures candidates have updated the current application.

· Ensures candidates have all details needed for orientation.

· Keeps applicants informed of their employment status until onboarded.

· Runs Clearinghouses on candidates after they sign their offer letter.

· Runs employment verifications and background reports.

· Runs physicals and drug screenings for candidates as needed.

· Receives and processes incoming documents and places in appropriate driver file.

· Maintains accurate account for all DQ files within the 30-day window.

· Confirms completed files have been uploaded to the final destination in RAIR system.

· Screens applicants to fill existing openings while maintaining current knowledge of transportation laws, DOT regulations and company hiring criteria.

· Reviews all completed files for accuracy.

· Interviews (via phone), gathers and analyzes information to applicants including pay packages, benefits, and positive work environment.

· Maintains constant contact with applicants regarding their application and employment statuses.

· Coordinates and schedules new hires for orientation.

· Assists in developing and measuring advertisement and promotional campaigns to recruit driver trainees, experienced drivers and independent contractors.

· Driver retention – Communicates with drivers post-hire to ensure the Company is meeting all of their needs and assists them with any questions or concerns.

· Assists in handling the billing for the recruiting department.

· Books car rental reservations for current and new hires.

· Has an aptitude for learning new systems and processes.

· Has the ability to work with others in a professional manner while achieving a common goal.

· Utilizes computer-based systems to process applicants while ensuring that departmental policies and procedures are followed to the highest standard.

· Performs other administrative duties as required.

· May be required to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.

· Works in accordance with Federal, State, and Local requirements.

· Constantly works vigilantly and safely.

· Effectively operates standard office equipment e.g., computer (software programs and email), telephone systems, and copiers.

· Proficiently utilizes computer skills with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.

· Must have great computer and phone skills.

· Knowledge of copying, scanning, faxing, and emailing documents.

· Demonstrates understanding the importance of sensitive information that is not to be announced publicly.

· Must be able to quickly learn and comprehend new software that may be used daily.

Qualifications

· High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.

· One year of recruiting experience is preferred but not required.

· Experience with Tenstreet is preferred but not required.

· A working knowledge of the FMCSA Regulations is recommended but not required.

· Experience with AS400, Omnitracs Road Net Anywhere, Omnitracs Services Portal is preferred but not required.
