Job Description
Stone Harbor Resort & Conference Center in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin is seeking a qualified and trained individual who is passionate about food to serve as its Executive Chef and lead the kitchen and restaurant in an exciting, new direction. The restaurant and bar area will be remodeled in the fall/winter of 2024 for a rebranding of the restaurant. A new executive chef, new menu, and new look will be implemented. The Chef will be responsible for:
Qualifications include:
- all aspects of the kitchen and back of the house duties
- creating and developing an upscale menu
- working with the food & beverage manager to develop menu, set prices, and keep restaurant operating at a high level
- hiring, training, overseeing, and supervising kitchen staff
- preparing, assisting, and training in the preparation of high quality, elevated food that is delicious to look at and eat
- assisting with inventory and purchasing
- sourcing ingredients locally
- building a cohesive, functional, and high performing team
- perform under stress
- excellent teambuilding and communication skills
- always maintain sanitary, organized conditions that meet all codes and standards
Qualifications include:
- culinary degree
- at least six years of relevant experience
- work as an Executive Chef a plus
- demonstrated culinary and leadership skills
