Experienced Architectural AutoCAD Designer On-Site in Charlotte, NC

(Full-time, Direct Hire)

We are looking for a high-level Architectural AutoCAD Designer experienced in Autodesk AutoCAD 2019/2023 with experience in Construction, and Manufacturing.

Position Summary: Work directly with Project Managers, CAD Designers, Company President, Sales, Installation Crews, and Metal Fabrication teams. Working in partnership with the internal teams, this team member of the CAD Department will be responsible for providing AutoCAD designs and dimensions to our Customers, Fabrication, and Installation teams. This individual will create, modify, and release drawings to all stakeholders. This role is an integral part of our ability to exceed customers’ expectations.

Skills needed

Proficient with Autodesk AutoCAD 2018/2023 (including custom shared tool pallets and dynamic blocks.
Solid understanding of construction and architectural principles, along with drafting principles and techniques.
Ability to think conceptually and to develop shop drawings for production including order of operations.
Take estimating department estimates and develop comprehensive Prelim Drawings, Production Drawings, and Change order Drawings.
Proven ability to problem-solve, research, and recommend alternative solutions.
Ability to work decisively and with accuracy.
Work under self-direction and in groups
Reliable, and results-driven.

Education/Experience needed

BS in Architectural CAD Drafting, or other related field.
2 to 3 years experience in Architectural CAD Drafting in AutoCAD.
Proficient in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD 2018/2023 (non-negotiable).
Able to work and assist on multiple projects simultaneously.
