The People & Culture Generalist (HR Generalist), under the supervision of the Senior People & Culture Business Partner for our Supply Chain, is an onsite human resources position dedicated to supporting to our warehouse and fulfillment operations in the US (facilities in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Sacramento, CA, and Atlanta, GA). This position will provide full-scope generalist support to their assigned facilities, with an emphasis on (1) employee engagement, (2) hourly staffing, (3) safety program oversight/management, (4) employee relations, and (5) time & attendance program management. Additionally, the People & Culture Generalist will collaborate in and have the opportunity to lead initiatives around performance management, talent assessment, policy/procedure development, merger & acquisition integration, and communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the first-level People & Culture contact, resource, and point of resolution for assigned facilities and client groups.
  • Collaborate with a global team across the People & Culture and Supply Chain business units with an emphasis on ensuring a high level of Team Member engagement and accountability.
  • Facilitate and maintain all lifecycle processes (i.e., onboarding, information changes, annual processes, offboarding) and related records management for all assigned Team Members.
  • While supporting full-scope generalist activities, maintain a focus on:

Employee Engagement –

  • Collaborate with facility leadership to create, lead, and host team events, socials, monthly town hall meetings to drive engagement, socialization, and connection amongst the team(s) and Team Members.
  • Facilitate annual Team Member Engagement Survey, lead local action planning/follow-up, and support the creation of the broader Supply Chain action plan.
  • Assist with and lead (as appropriate) diversity, inclusion, and equity initiatives.
  • Collaborate and help create new programs and initiatives to drive engagement.

Hourly Staffing -

  • Work with local leadership and the Talent Acquisition team to drive hourly staffing for both permanent and seasonal positions within assigned facilities.
  • When used, manage the relationship with staffing agencies to ensure timely fill, effective resources, and adherence to facility expectations.

Safety Program Oversight –

  • Collaborate in the development, maintenance, rollout, and communication of all safety program materials (i.e., IIPP, High Heat IIPP, Evacuation Plans) for US based facilities.
  • Own the management and follow-up or all workers’ compensation claims, including the ongoing management and oversight of Team Member claims (when needed).
  • Collaborate with global colleagues on safety related training programs and communications to adopt and roll out best practices across all locations/facilities.

Employee Relations –

  • Provide guidance and support to employees or managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and employee communication.
  • Support and role model an open-door culture for all Team Members and Leaders.
  • Be a listener and a communicator for the employees, focusing on collecting voices and feedback of employees in daily operations.
  • Assist in and lead (as appropriate) investigations into and resolutions of Team Member concerns received directly or through our 3rd-party integrity hotline (AllVoices).
  • Manage and create accountability for policy compliance (including the creation of a harassment, discrimination, and bullying-free workplace).
  • Foster and cultivate a culture of warmth, belonging, positive energy and team spirit.

Time & Attendance Management –

  • Support facility leadership by actively managing the local time and attendance policies, practices, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date time and attendance records for all Team Members in ADP WorkforceNow (including updating, processing, and approving Team Member timecards in advance of payroll processing). Audit and track absences.
  • Administer and manage employee leaves Interprets and administers leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.). Ensures that the workers’ compensation program is managed in accordance with applicable OSHA and workers’ compensation laws.
  • Independently approves and/or denies leave cases based on relevant medical information. Coordinates and organizes all medical information and ensures that HIPAA and Employee Privacy guidelines are closely monitored and effectively executed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a closely related field. Additional work experience can be substituted for an earned degree on a year-for-year basis.
  • 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist.
  • Well-versed in US Federal, State (CA & GA), and local employment laws governing employee relations practices, payroll, FLSA, etc.
  • Knowledge of key areas and best practices in HR.
  • Broad HR Generalist skills, including compensation & benefits, payroll, maintaining HRIS, performance management, employee relations, employment laws, etc.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • eCommerce and consumer products experience.
  • Relevant HR experience working in a warehouse setting.
  • HR Certification (i.e., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
  • Additional language skills or abilities with an emphasis on Cantonese or Mandarin.

ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: $60,320.00 - $75,400.00 USD annually
