Senior Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineering position working as a vendor for Microsoft supporting the HoloLens Factory/Production Equipment.

This is a government project and will require proof of US Citizenship.

Position is supporting the HoloLens Test Equipment in the Texas Factory.

Helping to get the production equipment up and running.

And supporting Microsoft Engineers with design and implementation.

Required Qualifications:

• Fluency in CAD development on the Creo Parametric toolset (including mechanical drafting, drawings, and indented BOM generation)
• Ability to generate detailed assembly documentation.
• Experience with release management and engineering change processes.
• Competency in mechanical tolerancing and tolerance stack analysis (CETOL or similar, ASME Y14.5-2009 GDT standard). An advantage but not a strict necessity. Has some knowledge of how to apply tolerancing and GD&T.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining integrated mechanical systems (integration with electrical, optical, and RF subsystems)
• Excellent communications skills. Capable in leading engineering reviews and communicate technical details to broader audiences.
• Great collaboration and teaming skills. Can motivate and inspire teammates to deliver success. Track record of execution and delivery.
• Capable of performing engineering statistical analysis, including process analytics, Design of experiment, Measurement system analysis, and data visualizations. It would be beneficial but not essential. Should be able to understand the basics of the process and interpret MSA (Measurement System Analysis Data).
• Detailed understanding of standard fabrication and metrology processes including CNC, 3D printing, EDM, CMM, OMM, Faro-arm, etc.
• Experience in technical writing in SOP processes.
• Willingness to build and integrate design solution in a factory environment.
• Need someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves with a can-do attitude in building electro-mechanical equipment. Not afraid in getting their hands dirty and spending time on the production floor.
• Must have experience with shop tools for building and making changes to production test equipment.
