(Must be flexible and willing to come in nights/weekends to address any facility concerns)


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma and 5-8 years of maintenance supervisory experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and related federal, state and local laws, codes, regulations and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical principles, practices, and applications.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical quality control and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in mechanical and electrical concepts.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems, identify solutions, recommend and implement methods, procedures and/or techniques for resolution.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from management, employees and regulatory agencies.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, duties and assignments simultaneously.
  • Experience analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, projecting consequences of proposed actions and implementing recommendations in support of project completion and goals.
  • Building Management System knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Purified Water System knowledge
  • Must have flexible availability to support operations as needed.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance work and mechanic and custodial resources to meet maintenance department goals.
  • Organize and supervise the implementation of projects related to the planning, design and installation of facilities and/or their functional systems.
  • Organize and supervise the maintenance and repairs of all manufacturing equipment.
  • Interface with relevant department heads and/or their designated personnel to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Analyze and formulate proposals to resolve technical problems related to equipment, plant layout, expansion of facilities and other production problems.
  • Negotiate with outside vendors, contractors and municipal/city officials to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Investigate prospective sub-contracting resources and examines estimates of material, equipment services, performance requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate and prepare project schedules and establish cost and status reports for management review.
  • Supervise the maintenance of facility equipment HVAC systems and upkeep of buildings, grounds, electrical equipment and associated utilities.
  • Regularly review maintenance and facility project specifications for potential cost savings and improvements.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of replacement parts, cleaning chemicals, washroom supplies, and other material as deemed necessary.
  • Support the procurement of tools, supplies and parts to effectively repair equipment and maintain facility.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping and crouching, climbing and walking, occasional lifting of equipment or materials weighing up to 30 pounds. Incumbents may be exposed to toxic materials, toxic gases, electrical hazards, and dangerous tools and equipment. Exposure to varying levels of noise.Work is performed in both a manufacturing and office environment.

Salary Range: 80,000 - 95,000 annually
