Florida CPA Consultant

Emergen, Inc. seeks Florida Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) Consultant/Contractors to work with our State of Florida government customers, providing Financial and Performance Audits.

Description of Scope of Work:
The (CPA) Consultant/Contractor will provide Financial and Performance Audit (FPA) services, attesting whether the financial statements of an audited entity fairly present the financial position, results of operations, and cash flows in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles. The Contractor will work with large, medium, and small-sized agencies within Florida. The successful candidate will have extensive experience and expertise in delivering services and solutions based on the Government Auditing Standards (i.e., the Yellow Book) authored by the Comptroller General of the U.S. The candidate will have a proven track record of supplying high-end and in-depth deliverables, consisting of but not limited to:

• Determining the extent of government customer's financial viability, including evaluating current audits, financial records, budgets, IRS tax returns, recent monitoring reports, contracts, and other information necessary to complete a full fiscal evaluation.

• Identify deficiencies in the financial portion of government customer's application and provide recommendations to correct the identified deficiencies.

• Conducting financial risk assessments per applicable laws and regulations to identify the degree of risk involved in operations, mission requirements, and governmental standards and rules.

• Reviewing and determining the integrity of program records and other documentation relevant to internal and external oversight and reviews to justify costs and other expenditures.

• Conduct follow-up examinations of the government customer's program records and documentation to determine if applicable laws and regulations are maintained.

• Drafting and delivering reports to government customers. Reports include appropriate and precise documentation of findings, conclusions, recommendations for corrective action, and recommendations for the government customer to correct identified deficiencies where applicable.

• Prepare and testify/report for in-process reviews, administrative hearings, or judicial proceedings.

• Advising on and evaluating a wide variety of issues concerning identified areas of deficiency, error, or correction, fiscal integrity, and financial risk mitigation in customer operations, including but not limited to evaluating the sufficiency of controls and recommending changes
