Podiatrist

Top-rated podiatry practice seeking an energetic, team-oriented full-time associate podiatrist for our busy office in Clifton, NJ. We are looking for a personable, friendly, and motivated provider to join our expanding team. We provide high-quality foot care to patients of all ages and maintain a great diversity in practice areas including foot and ankle surgery, trauma, wound care, limb salvage, biomechanics, sports medicine, toenail issues, and diabetic foot care.

Core Competencies:

· Good listening and communication skills, including being able to explain medical terminology and treatment in simple but appropriate detail.

· Medical degree in podiatry from an accredited school of medicine.

· Successfully completed a recognized podiatry residency program.

· Current NJ podiatry and DEA licenses.

· Having the ability to communicate well with patients of all ages, including children and elderly patients.

· Being bilingual is a plus.

· Priority will be given to candidates who are credentialed in NJ.

Responsibilities:

· Assessing, diagnosing, and treating conditions related to the foot and ankle.

· Prescribing diagnostic tests and treatments, based on each patient's medical history, physical examination, activity level, imaging reports, and laboratory test results.

· Providing necessary durable medical equipment (DME) including custom orthotics, diabetic, and orthopedic shoes, custom and OTC braces, and night splints in an effort to promote mobility.

· Applying in-office minor surgical and non-invasive treatments.

· Prescribing medication and administering local anesthetics.

· Ordering additional imaging tests, and referring patients to physical therapy, as well as other physicians or specialists for consultation when necessary.

· Recording all diagnoses, treatments, and prescriptions in a detailed and timely manner.
