We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Procurement to join our team. As a key member of the leadership team, the Senior Director of Procurement will play a pivotal role in managing the company's procurement strategy, driving cost efficiency, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality goods and services. This position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and exceptional negotiation skills to support our company's mission of advancing healthcare through innovative technology solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to the unique needs and regulatory requirements of the healthcare industry, ensuring cost-effective acquisition of medical supplies, staffing contracts, lease agreements, etc.
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to navigate the complexities of healthcare procurement, including compliance with HIPAA regulations, GMP standards, and other industry-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical operations, supply chain management, and regulatory affairs teams to understand clinical needs, quality standards, and patient safety requirements, integrating these considerations into procurement processes and supplier relationships.
  • Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures in procurement and logistics.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare suppliers, including medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, and IT vendors, negotiating favorable terms and contracts while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
  • Oversee the procurement process for critical healthcare supplies and services, from sourcing and supplier selection to contract negotiation and execution, ensuring uninterrupted supply chain operations and mitigating risks of product shortages or quality issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize inventory management practices, while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.
  • Monitor healthcare market trends and regulatory developments, identifying opportunities and risks that may impact procurement strategies, supplier relationships, and product availability, and proactively adapting procurement plans accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement performance, supplier reliability, and product quality, providing regular reports and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present recommendations to senior management on procurement strategies, cost-saving opportunities, and supply chain optimization initiatives, leveraging insights from healthcare industry expertise and market intelligence.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and innovative solutions in healthcare procurement, exploring opportunities for strategic partnerships, vendor collaboration, and process improvements to support the company's mission of advancing healthcare through technology innovation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in the healthcare or technology industry preferred, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry dynamics.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies that drive cost savings, process efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization and with external suppliers.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with experience managing and developing high-performing procurement teams.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and contract management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate future trends, risks, and opportunities in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or similar certification preferred.
