Description

The Finance Operations Manager provide effective financial management and support to their Geographic Areas. Finance Operations Manager will oversee day to day financial processes and procedures related to local donations, events, and general operations.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and merchant processing.
  • Prepare financial reports as needed.
  • Prepare financials for Geographic Area annual budget reporting and analysis on a periodic basis.
  • Review event budgets.
  • Manage cash flow, donation processing and reporting.
  • Generate and file required IRS and other regulatory forms.
  • Enforce best practices as well as policies and procedures for the financial accounting system.
  • Supervise and train finance assistants in assigned Geographic Areas.
  • Interface with volunteers on financial policies, procedures and other matters on a regular basis.
  • Troubleshoot problems, consulting available resources as appropriate.
  • Other duties as required

Required Knowledge, Education or Experience

  • BA in business or finance required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of finance experience; within a non-profit, philanthropic, or donor relations environment a plus.
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Online; Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Detail-oriented, precise, organized, and proactive
  • Ability to work independently and handle concurrent projects and assignments
